I was born June 25th, 1990, in Jacksonville, Florida.
My parents are Benjamin Stanley Jackson and Rachel Pearl Eby.
This is my starting point. For the past 21 years I have drowned in the shade of my family tree. I have felt family secrets tickle my ears over Christmas dinner; Secrets that were too complex for me at the time. I have been told things that I believed as the truth, but discovered that it was either a fragment of the truth, or a lie altogether. I have listened to stories, all the while letting the information blow into one ear and right out the other.
Growing up, I wanted distance from my family. I wanted to separate myself from them, because I thought I was better than them. Throughout the years I have gained that distance. Now, I’m trying to step back into the picture and separate fact from fiction. I want to know the history of my family, as far back as I can reach.
